Comptroller Barnes reports Harry Kowalski's death and suspects it might be murder or an AI attack.
Mission, Planet Teffin, status report five. The archive starts with the warning already posted, because this one is about death, grief, and the loss of a child. Barnes keeps things formal. Harry Kowalski is dead. The autopsy goes to Celia and Cathy Winters, and Barnes admits the investigation is already following their conclusions. Harry was useful, maybe too useful. He could read old alien computer technology well enough that Gordon wanted him on the team despite his inexperience, and now that choice has teeth. The autopsy scene keeps circling blame. One person is deep in grief and ready to accuse someone. Another will not let pain pass for evidence. Then level 39 pulls the room colder. Why was Harry there, on that level? Carrie becomes the tidy answer: a bot apparently killed him. But the report cannot explain how Carrie surprised him, how Asimov programming got overwritten, or whether this was a glitch at all. The label does not stick. After the autopsy, Celia and Dr. Piniella go to level 39 and find where Harry was discovered, not where he died. The blood says plenty. A pool, no splatter, no forklift prong marks, and too many missing pieces point to a moved body. That does not hide him forever. It buys time. Nobody knows for whom. Lime's Key sits at the center of it all, with Harry's plan, the missing items, and Carrie's behavior all pointing back below.
