Bardock vs Gas 2 - Dragon Ball Super Chapter 83 Spoilers

·29 min·2 clips

Kyle breaks down leaked chapter 83 spoilers where Bardock gets a cryptic warning about the Saiyans' fate.

The episode begins with Kyle announcing a quick spoiler breakdown due to the recent leaks of Dragon Ball Super Chapter 83. He jumps into the flashback titled 'Bardock vs Gas 2,' where Bardock steps in to protect Monito from Gas. Kyle reads a translation note about Bardock being told to leave the planet. He focuses on Gas's line hinting that the Saiyans 'don't have much time either,' which Bardock dismisses. Kyle spends significant time analyzing this exchange, debating whether it's a good narrative choice for Bardock to receive this forewarning about Frieza's genocide. He references the Bardock special and Dragon Ball Super: Broly, questioning if it makes Bardock's eventual decision to return to Planet Vegeta less compelling. Kyle speculates that Monito might use the Dragon Balls to wish for Gas's incapacitation, explaining Gas's later loyalty to his brother Elec. He predicts the arc will continue with flashbacks and not wrap up soon. Kyle then shifts to discussing Dragon Ball fandom, expressing frustration with Twitter reactions where fans accuse critics of hating everything. He critiques Dragon Ball Super's history of unsatisfying arc endings, citing the Tournament of Power as the closest to success. Kyle rants about a conspiracy theory among fans that the Toei animation hack is a cover story to buy time to fix the CGI animation in the upcoming Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero movie. He dismisses this as brain rot, arguing Toei doesn't care about individual fan complaints. The episode concludes with Kyle reflecting on the exhaustion of engaging with toxic fandom and preferring his podcast audience for thoughtful dialogue.

As heard by us

Kyle reads the Bardock versus Gas storyboards for clues to Monito's wish and Gas's loyalty.

Fresh chapter 83 storyboards return to Bardock's fight with Gas, but Kyle spends as much time on what happens around it. He reads Bardock's move away from Monito as an attempt to draw Gas off, then turns to Monito's two Dragon Balls and the wish Monito might make.
