One host says he is usually anti-conspiracy, but this result has him staring at Dallas, the tiny odds, the Luka trade noise, and the San Antonio, Dallas, or Houston nightmare he had been dreading. The NBA is not escaping the allegations, at least not in this room. The panic does not last, mostly because these two are incapable of being sad without turning it into a draft board fight. Con Kippel becomes the guy they have to talk themselves through. One host keeps coming back to the tape, the winning plays, the mid-range shoulder bumps, and the thought that Will Hardy might love him so much he turns into a Rookie of the Year type. Trey Johnson makes the whole thing messier. The debate gets sharp fast: do you take the serious winning-play Kippel type, or the freshman bucket-getter with clearer 20-plus-points-per-game upside? One host leans Trey, and the case is clean. Scoring 20 per game as a freshman in a good conference without much help is not nothing. The pushback is all body and size. This is not the episode they wanted to record, but if Utah drafts Con Kippel, the bargaining has already started.
