Easter Sunday Service 2026 - Forgiven and Eternally Alive

·44 min·4 clips

The human brain can store every moment of your life, yet God says we are born spiritually dead.

The episode is a sermon by Pastor Eric Postoluk at Mosaic Community Church for Easter Sunday 2026. It opens with a description of the human brain's capabilities, including 86 billion neurons and 2.5 petabytes of storage, to highlight human uniqueness. The pastor then transitions to spiritual themes, quoting Ephesians 2:1 to state that humans are born spiritually dead due to sin. He reads and expounds on Colossians 2:8-14, warning against deceptive philosophies and emphasizing Jesus as God in human flesh. A key illustration involves a documentary about a man with a pornography addiction who receives harmful counsel from a therapist. The sermon explains metaphors like spiritual circumcision and being buried with Christ in baptism. It details the concept of a record of debt for sins, which Jesus nails to the cross, offering forgiveness for past, present, and future sins. The pastor discusses terms for sin, such as iniquity and trespasses, and connects them to spiritual death. He emphasizes that Jesus' resurrection proves the truth of these claims and is the basis for the timeline. The sermon concludes with a prayer and an invitation for listeners to stand and surrender their lives to Jesus, leading them in a salvation prayer.
