The Leafs lost Game 7 to Florida 6-1 and fans threw things on the ice.

The date refuses to behave. Ted opens by tangling Wednesday, May 20, and May 21, mostly because recording on a Monday has thrown the room out of rhythm. Mondays still feel like Mondays. Holiday traffic is painless, the studio run goes smoothly, and the long weekend gets a local nod with Victoria Day and Fete du Dallard. Then the weather earns a groan. Spring has been doing a pretty lousy impression of fall, with cold rain and a mood closer to October than May. The talk wanders, but that is the charm here. A sponsor mention, a calendar complaint, and a weather gripe all move at the same kitchen-table pace. Hockey barges in fast. Mitch Marner gets credit for being clever, elegant, and dangerous with the puck, then takes heat for what happens when the playoffs get heavier. Matthews catches it too. His postgame line about passengers gets thrown back at him, since the hosts note he only had two shots himself. Ron McLean's comparison does not land. The Beliveau mention sounds far too generous to them, and the annoyance comes out in that half-laughing sports-radio way. They try to quit the Leafs. Naturally, they do not. Drake's $1.25 million Maple Leafs bet opens a new lane for disbelief and bad-luck jokes, and the bet becomes the punchline. From there, the room slides into celebrity money, with Justin Bieber's $200 million catalog sale treated more as worry than gossip. There is affection under the teasing. Ted says he loves Bieber, even while they point out that he does not look healthy. By the end, they are back in old-radio mode, asking for subscriptions, reviews, shares, and some proof that radio still has a pulse.
