Lila and Tom are introduced as having a new album out, and Terry says he has not seen them in quite some time. A copy is already in his hands. He holds it up for the YouTube crowd and the talk moves straight into favorite tracks and what stood out on the record. The Willow gets singled out. Terry says it has a very special place for him, while The Dying Dove comes across as especially powerful. Picking favorites is hard. That leads into a wider talk about making an album that feels personal enough for the band members to attach to different songs. The vocals get more layered. Lila explains that this is the first time she has worked with other singers on a project like this, bringing in two vocalists for group parts and a choir-like feel on three songs. The extra depth mattered to her. She says the added voices opened up the music in a way the band had never had before, even if it means they now have to think differently about playing the songs onstage. Everyone has to sing now. The band even jokes about turning Dave into a microphone-at-the-drums kind of singer, because the arrangement asks more from everybody. The record took a year. They talk through the two studio sessions, the touring break with Glenn Hughes in the UK, and the return home to finish the album before the conversation eases out toward the end.
