About Feminist Wellness
Feminist Wellness is a solo wellness and recovery show with a strong body-first thesis. Bea Victoria Albina treats codependency, perfectionism, people-pleasing, anxiety, family obligation, and chronic patterns as learned nervous-system patterns. The show is not detached. It is warm, insistent, and often funny in the middle of serious material. Episodes move quickly, but they keep returning to the same practical question: what can a person actually do when the body has already decided that conflict, rest, anger, or need is unsafe? A question about moving home to care for aging family becomes a lesson in staying internally present while old systems pull hard. A lesson on self-resourcing becomes a critique of the fantasy that mature people need nobody. Rest becomes a capacity problem, not a character flaw. Anger becomes information that may have been suppressed for a long time. The show is especially interested in the tiny intervention. Feet on the floor. One slow exhale. A small turn of the head. A hand on the chest, belly, thigh, or wherever contact feels okay. These are not presented as decorative mindfulness tips, but as ways to give the nervous system evidence that choice still exists. Feminist Wellness also keeps a political and cultural frame in view. It challenges bootstrap thinking, emotional shrinking, wellness isolation, and the idea that toughness is the same as capacity. Episodes about public grief and political reality ask how a person can stay caring without getting stuck at either numbness or overwhelm. The recurring Tenderoni Hotline format brings listener questions into the center, including anger, ADHD in mindfulness, paradoxical reactions, and workplace people-pleasing. The result is a show for people who want language for what happens inside them before they can explain it. It is tender without being vague, direct without becoming cold, and practical without pretending that a hard family lunch or a frightening news cycle can be solved by positive thinking.
Made for: For listeners working through codependency, perfectionism, people-pleasing, family triggers, unsafe-feeling rest, suppressed anger, or nervous-system shutdown. It especially suits people who want emotionally warm teaching with concrete body-based practices.
What sets it apart: The show links feminist critique to somatic micro-practices, making social conditioning and nervous-system survival feel part of the same map. Its strength is the move from big concepts to tiny, usable moments of choice.
