About Get Merry
Get Merry is a warm, conversational wellness show built around Emma and Carla’s easy sister dynamic. They describe themselves as hosts, real life sisters, and best friends, and that familiarity shapes almost every episode. The pacing is unhurried. Thoughts are tested aloud, clarified, repeated, and softened by everyday examples. One week the subject might be AI, influencers, and the need to keep using one’s own judgment. Another might move through the practical details of teaching yoga online, from setup and cameras to working with Kim at a studio on the Gold Coast. The show also makes room for life updates, travel memories, wedding-dress nerves, business plans, and the honest awkwardness of coming back after a long pause. Its self-help style is personal rather than prescriptive. Emma and Carla often start with something ordinary, then turn it toward a larger point about self-compassion, comparison, emotional lows, yoga philosophy, or authenticity. They are comfortable naming difficult feelings without making them dramatic. Low emotions are treated as part of life, not as failures to be solved immediately. Anxiety, underachievement, and the pressure to be constantly high-functioning are approached through reflection, practice, and small actions. Yoga is one of the show’s central languages. Episodes refer to teacher training, breathwork, meditation, the Merry Body app, filming classes, and concepts such as Ishvara Pranidana. The result is part wellness chat, part behind-the-scenes creator diary, and part values-based pep talk. It is not a tightly scripted interview program. The texture is looser and more human: crossed wires, overlapping speech, side stories, laughs, and the occasional recording disruption. That looseness gives the show its particular intimacy. Get Merry works best for listeners who like encouragement that sounds lived-in, not polished flat. It offers reassurance without pretending life is neat.
Made for: Get Merry is for listeners drawn to yoga, self-acceptance, emotional resilience, and gentle personal growth. It especially suits people who prefer reflective friend-style conversation over formal coaching.
What sets it apart: The show’s strength is the sisterly back-and-forth between Emma and Carla, where business, yoga, travel, and inner work sit naturally beside technical mishaps and life updates. It feels openly imperfect in a way that makes the guidance more usable.
